Privacy Policy

ebbb (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe.

1. What we collect

We keep data collection to an absolute minimum. Here’s what we store:

• Device identifier — a randomly generated ID stored on your device. We use this to sync your data. It is not linked to your name, email, or any personal information.
• Tasks and planner data — the tasks you create, timer sessions, streaks, and template usage. This data is stored locally on your device and optionally synced to our servers.
• Contact form submissions — if you contact us, we store your name, email address, and message so we can respond.

2. What we don’t collect

• We do not require an account, password, or login
• We do not collect your real name, phone number, or address
• We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties
• We do not serve advertisements

3. AI task parsing

When you use the AI task parsing feature, the text you enter is sent to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) for processing. This text is used solely to generate structured tasks and is not stored by the AI provider beyond the duration of the request. We do not send any identifying information alongside your task text.

4. Local storage

ebbb stores your tasks, timer data, streaks, and device ID in your browser’s local storage. This data stays on your device unless you explicitly enable sync. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.

5. Data sync

If sync is enabled, your planner data is transmitted to our servers over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and stored in a secure database hosted by Supabase. Your data is associated only with your anonymous device ID.

6. Data retention

We retain your synced planner data for as long as your device ID is active. If you stop using ebbb, your data will be automatically deleted after 12 months of inactivity. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 24 months.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about your device ID
• Request deletion of all your synced data
• Use ebbb entirely offline without any data leaving your device
• Clear your local data at any time via your browser

8. Children’s privacy

ebbb is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure database hosting, and access controls. While no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we’ll note the updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of ebbb after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
